FEATURES OF BIOTECHNOLOGY AND BIOTECHNOLOGICAL EQUIPMENT

The Journal Biotechnology and Biotechnological Equipment is a specialised international publication which publishes original scientific research of Bulgarian and foreign authors in the fields of ecology, agriculture, medicine and the application of biotechnology in industry and other fields of the state economy in English language.
Special issues of the Journal are published in addition to the regular ones.
Eminent Bulgarian and foreign scientists and economists participate in the Editorial Board of the Journal which allows for the constant updating of topics according to the breakthroughs in science and practice in the above fields. /Editorial Board/
In its past publications, the Journal presents authors from the Balkan Region, Europe, America, and Asia.
In the last 12 years in specialised columns or individual issues, the Journal has published completed projects in the frame of PHARE – EC, UNIDO, UNEP, UNESCO, NATO; also COPERNICUS, SOCRATES - projects in the field of Education.
The Journal has been registered as early as 1992 in the International Institute for Scientific Information (ISI), Philadelphia, USA and it’s coverage by the Biotechnology Citation Index (BCI), 1992-2002.
The Journal Biotechnology and Biotechnological Equipment is also referenced by Chemical Abstracts from 1998, since 1993, by Biological Abstracts.
Journal ‘Biotechnology and Biotechnological Equipment” is a publication of Diagnosis Press Ltd. In Association with Bulgarian Oncological Society. From 2004, the Journal will be published three times a year. Now the Express issue №1/2004 has been printed out.

The Editorial Board will consider the factors affecting publication level of the journal “Biotechnology and Biotechnological Equipment” during the re-evaluation process 2003-2004.

This is just an example of what we have achieved and experienced, we have accumulated until 2003, when volume 17 of “Biotechnology and Biotechnological Equipment” was published – about 2000 authors of critical reviews and original papers from Bulgaria and all over the world.

The Editorial policy has been and will continue to be close to the needs of Biotechnology, Research and Science Development.
