INSTRUCTIONS TO THE AUTHORS

The journal "Biotechnology and Biotechnological Equipment" published in the scientific and applied sections advanced and original papers and reviews from Bulgarian and foreign authors in English language in the field of agriculture, biotechnology, ecology, industry, medicine, public health protection and biotechnological equipment as well as in similar sci¬entific fields where the biotechnological achievements are used.

1. The original scientific papers and reviews should not exceed 6-8 printed pages respectively. The number of figures and tables enclosed should be decreased as much as possible and the legend to them should not repeat the text.

2. The papers presented for publication are reviewed by two anonymous reviewers.

3. The original manuscripts and one copy including tables and figures are required. They should be legible and clearly printed and applicated with diskette (MS Word '97 - 2003).

4. The title of the paper should be short, precise and written without any abbreviations. The names of the authors (first and family name in full and initials of second name) should follow the title. The complete address and name of the insti¬tute (organization) should be stated next.

5. Such information and submitted letter are required.

6. The tables should be enclosed on separate sheets of paper at the end of the manuscript, bearing the same number as in the text.

7. Illustrating materials, photographs sketches, maps, diagrams should be original and num¬bered at the back. The legend to the figures should be written on separate sheets of paper. The photographs should be contrast and in good quality. The diagrams should be on size 6.5 cm or 13.5 cm.

8. All units of measurements should be written in Latin alphabet according to the Interna¬tional Measuring System (SI).

9. The abbreviations used in the text should be equaled under line on the first page and should be consistent with the international requirements.

10. The Bulgarian authors receive the second proofreading which after checking should be returned signed within 24 hours.

11. The authors should write on a separate sheet of paper their full names and addresses and the name of the corresponding author should be marked.

12. The authors' names and their papers included in the references should be numbered in Latin. The references in the text should be cited by number.

A paper from a periodical: Matsui S., Rounds D.E. (1971) Life Sci., 10, 217-221. (If there is no volume, the number of the booklet should be mentioned).
